Games day was unexpectedly fun. I expected it to be tiring and somewhat draggy. Tiring it was, yet it was a time filled with laughter and, the smell of burning flesh.
Alright, not so bad. But the teams that got kicked out of the competitive games didn't sit mope around. They watched other matches or picked up a ball and played among themselves. I had a great time taking photos. Though after an hour I felt as though I had run around the track non-stop and continue running. The sun was blazing overhead and I could feel the scorching heat sink into the skin of my feet. I have sandal tan now.
It was hot till I gulped down the sugared punch willingly. I rarely drink punch. Or rather, I never drink sugared punch. But the temperature demanded that I shove a bucketful of cold liquid into my body.
Good thing I wasn't the only one taking photos. I could afford a lot of moments of tucking away the camera and enjoy a game of volleyball. Or plain disturbing other youths for that matter.
A lot of newcomers. Was talking with the cccb and we agreed that this event was more for sports ftvs rather than the normal crowd. But sports or no sports, it did bring in many ftvs. That was awesome, and the teams had a lot of fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking photos, though I could've done with a cap. I was afraid it'd block the light going into the camera. Guess I was a lil' too paranoid. Burnt scalp. Now I get a lil' taste of what my dear co-leader goes through everyday. And a patch of red and tender skin across my nose. And red arms where my sleeves end. Darn, I spent 2 years growing out of sleeve tan lines.
Went out for lunch with mum after that. A good hot soup never fails to lift my spirits, even though I was dreadfully tired. By the time I stood up to leave the coffeeshop I felt as though my butt was dripping wth sweat. No it wasn't, but it sure felt like it.
I'm sure the people in my jap class were laughing at my sunburnt-ness. Today we actually had to gather in circles to talk, so my red patches were in full view of everyone around me. Sheesh! And the bus was awfully crowded for the to and fro journey. Mum said it's due to the IT fair. Which I missed this round. Nothing to get, I don't go. Simple as that.
Alright, I feel as though this post is weird. It's not written in my normal style. Back to finishing up my project. Crazy week though. 1 project, 2 assignments, 3 tests. Reminds me of 1 God, 2 centres, 3-nitarians! -_-"
