My tests are finally over. Before CNY that is. Going back to school after CNY (next week is my midterm break), more tests await to welcome me back to school. Papers were horrible. The content of stats was so overwhelming until I thought I was going to have a terrible time. Then upon seeing the past semester paper (a few hours before my paper) I realised that the things tested seemed to come from JC. And linear algebra was worse. The content being tested was so tough I spent the whole day not listening in lectures and feverishly mugging and trying to memorise proofs. Think matrices. Nothing hard? Think proving the equations for determinants. Thinking proving the different theories that you blatently take for granted in O levels, or A levels for that matter. *Ugghhh*. And my lecturer was quite cute. It was a small lt for many people. So he had us sit side by side, but the people sitting beside me would do the same paper, but different from mine. It was alternating. I did the yellow paper. The questions had almost nothing to do with what we learnt. It was... Like linear algebra 1, plus calculus (I'm taking linear algebra 2. Very different). So ya.
I feel like going for the open house ( I have no idea when) to kope goodies. Bu t its always held in the MPSHs, and I have bad memories in the MPSHs. Exams are held there. *shudders*
I mixed up the dates of CNY. I thought the eve was this sunday. Joyce (also known as cy lan *sye-lan* due to her terrible handwriting) laughed when she saw the dates in my diary. I need to get mum a birthday present since CNY day 1 is also her birthday. Still thinking of what to get her. Getting clothes is the safest, but not too sincere. I would love to buy shoes instead, but my taste and her taste are like 2 non-parallel skew lines - they don't go the same way and they never meet. Shall see how tomorrow.
I can't stand it. I'm writing this program which functions like the world clock, but I input the time and it will give me the time of another time zone that I specify. I just can't write the class properly. All the 'this's just don't work the way I want them to. Since when do they work the way I want anyways. I always have to work the way they want. Sheesh. And I emailed my tutor but he's taking an awfully long time to reply. Thing about me is that once I start the computing problem, the thinking doesn't stop till I complete the problem. So.... My brain is full of GMT and what-nots now.
