The main parts of CNY are finally over!
It was exhausting going visiting. Having to put up a smile and talk amiably to everyone who just pokes around left and right. Not to mention when my mother started talking pretty loudly about my studies and what (very very... optimistic) job propects I would have when I graduate. Sheesh! Bro and sis-in-law kept getting grilled as to when they were going to have children. My goodness, they are still younger than the average age that people marry in my family and they are already expected to have kids! There were like 13 or more kids half my height running around in my grandmum's place. Terrible. But I'm glad for my bro's presence, relatives cut down on the "Do you have a boyfriend yet"'s, though it was still embarassingly existant.
Relatives came over yesterday night. 10 darn lil kids in the house. Who immediately came to my room. They burst one of the toys that was stuffed with styrofoam (and the floor was filled with styrofoam balls which were a nightmare to clean up) and they plucked out the eyes of one of my favourite stuffed dogs. Good thing annie ang was here. She mentioned that just seeing all the kids acting like lil monsters in my room, that would be the best birth control of them all.
One of my cousins is growing up to be tall and lanky. Somehow I can't associate him to the chubby cheeked lil boy whose fingers I crushed, whose thick skull gave me a pretty black eye. He vaguely resembles brandon though. *eeks* And another cousin on another side has a japanese girlfriend. My family seems to be weird. I have german blooded nieces and maybe soon japanese ones too. Oh yeah, that cousin wanted to laugh because he thought I broke my bed frame by myself. *coughcough* I wasn't the one who broke it.
And I finally finished solving my computing assignment last night. It was a nightmare trying to think while kids are screaming their lungs out just behind you. But I got it done. Annie thought I was nuts when I was grinning away when I finished it.
And I ate enough over CNY to last me a lifetime. Actually not. I probably ate around the same as I normally do. But the curry was pure cholesterol. So it just blackens the whole picture.
Was supposed to go visiting with the rest at PDa's today. Somehow I overslept. Woke up at 12 only to go back to sleep. Who ever said holidays were meant for rest? I'm just glad one of my midterm papers was postponed so I have more time to revise. Don't see myself studying too much this week. Not when I'm busy reading.
